The Ahimsa Festival 2017 is going to be an 18-day long program with one mission: to promote a healthy and cruelty-free lifestyle. As the second edition after last year’s successful fest in Mumbai, its going to be bigger and better with a cruelty-free exhibition, restaurants serving Ahimsa food, farmer’s market, 150+ stalls promoting vegan merchandise and a vegan fashion show. The festival schedule also includes 100+ events like cooking workshops; film screenings and games; walks, cycling and treks; kid’s activities; lifestyle talks by doctors and health experts; potlucks, and lots more across the city!
The opening ceremony this year will be attended by the Honorable Union Minister and well-known animal activist Smt. Maneka Gandhi. With larger awareness about a compassionate lifestyle and the whole-hearted efforts of those who follow this path, the number of attendees is expected to be 10000+, more than double of last year’s edition. The closing ceremony on 12th November will include a prize distribution and the Ahimsa Awards.
